David Hillman

David Hillman is Owner and Managing Director of Blackstar Search, based in Dunstable, Bedfordshire. David and his team have built a reputation for delivering excellent candidates to clients with very precise needs in highly competitive markets. The business is known for its connections within industries in the UK, but also throughout Europe, North America and Asia.

Like any successful business, the person who heads up the team is of vital importance, in ensuring clients needs are met through quality and consistency of results. David Hillman is extremely familiar with the challenges his clients face and understands what it takes to be successful. He has grown a substantial business to handle the myriad of pressures senior managers face in a competitive environment.

David has been working in recruitment since 1998. Prior to this he gained several years experience heading management teams within International Distillers and Vintners, now part of Diageo PLC. Previous to this he was Buying and Merchandising Controller with Woolworths. He also helped launch a new store concept with the Kingfisher Group. He has also headed a team of Buyers and Merchandisers at BHS.
